WLTECH Arc Training Successfully Concluded
Arc is common occurrence in the power industry and can cause significant harm if not handled properly. To enhance the professional quality of our business personnel and their awareness of potential hazards in the power industry, our company has invited technical experts from Paulson Company to provide arc training to our staff on March 28.
|The training program is divided into 3 sections. The first section covers the concept of arc and arc flash. Arc is a gas discharge phenomenon that occurs when an electric current breaks through the air, generating sparks at a very high speed. Arc flash is a dangerous condition associated with the release of energy caused by electric arcs. It can produce temperatures as high as 20,000 degrees, which is four times hotter than the surface of the sun.
The experts also introduced two authoritative arc panel test standards, the American standard ASTM F2178 “ARC MAN” and the European standard EU 2016/425 “OPEN BOX” (derived from IEC 61482-1-2). At the end of the training, the experts emphasized the importance of checking whether relevant arc protection values are indicated on protection products used in the power industry. This step ensures that formal and correct arc protection products are chosen.
As a professional arc equipment supplier, WLTECH has always maintained close cooperation with end customers and complete product certification. We are committed to providing electric workers with the highest quality products and services to ensure their safety in the workplace.
